The Turbo Alternator is THE answer for those who fly aircraft that are not fitted with electrical systems but wish to fit radio equipment, GPS navigation systems and perhaps even a transponder or other electronics. Now it is possible to power such equipment and have power to spare.
The Turbo Alternator is a total redesign of the wind generator principle using the latest technology and materials. Particular focus was made to ensure optimum output which is 6 amps at 70 knots. The unit is both small and lightweight, weighing just 5 lb and measuring 5" in diameter. The unit is FAA STC’d for various Aeronca, Taylorcraft, Luscombe, Piper and Stearman aircraft and custom made brackets are available for these aircraft at no extra cost. The universal nature of the fixings make the unit suitable for most applications, both high and low wing.
The unit comes complete with Turbo Alternator, built in regulator and fitting kit. The standard colour is white, but the paint scheme can be customized to suit your aircraft to special order for a small extra charge of £30.
A Turbo Alternator is also available for use as a stand-by alternator for large singles and twin engine aircraft where a stand-by system is required to protect against the possibility of electrical failure at night or when flying in IMC.
