We have these manufactured within the Formula One racing industry here near Silverstone and the quality is absolutely superb. They are also made precisely to the original Jodel plans - no substitution of heavy tube where fabrication from rolled steel sheet is called for. The welding is an art form and the standard of workmanship is awesome.
Care is required to ensure that the correct parts are ordered. All those items with DR1050 in the description should fit a STANDARD Jodel, but it is our experience that there really is no such thing as a standard 50 year old aeroplane.
The D1050 Exhaust System features an integral carb heat collection collar on the port side and a separate cabin heat exchanger on the starboard side.
The DR150s Exhaust System is the other way round with the carb heat collar on the starboard side and the cabin heat exchanger on the port side.
None of the parts are interchangeable to it is important to order the correct items. Because of age related changes and manufacturing tolerances we advise purchasing both the exhaust system and the cabin heat exchangers at the same tim e.
